I am just curious about infant memory span. I know it would remember its mother, but if the father and child were seperated for more than a week?

It depends on how much interaction father and child had before the separation and how much longer than a week? A few days or a few weeks? Months? If the father had definitely established a relationship with his child, I think it might take a little longer than just a couple of weeks for baby to forget. A month would definitely be too long.

It actully depends, How involved the father is involved with the child. And if it's just a week the chances are it wont forget. Also is the father married to the mother? and are the pictures of the father around the home? My nephew was a little under a year when my husband was deployed, and my husband didnt really see our nephew all that much before he left, But when my husband came home (15 months later) my nephew new exactlly who he was and ran to him with open arms.

Yes, the child will still remember his/her father. My niece only sees her father every other weekend and has been this way since she was 3 months old and she know exactly who he is.
