so my boyfriends little sister is 13, 14 in may. shes a virgin and wants to wait for the right guy but her hormones are raging. she dosnt want to go out w/ any of the other boys in 8th grade because she says there really immature and she wants a "real" relationship not just hand-holding during school.
hers the problem: yesterday when it was thunder storming (like me thunderstorms start her hormones) she had "mirror time." it was her first time but her mom saw her and started screaming at her and now she thinks that was really really wrong and thinks shes a horrible slut. i love her to death just like a sister and was wondering if u people could say here that what she did was perfectly normal so she feels better.
ps. for those of u who dont know mirror time is when a girl covers her naked body w/ makeup especially her breasts, does her hair and looks at herself in a full length mirror. no masturbating, just checking out ur naked self.

Well, Though I do not do things like that, it sounds perfectly normal & natural. She was just curious & is at "that age" where shes curious about her body, self esteem may be affected, and she starts caring about her appearance. Seems quite normal. lol but i can totally see why her mom would freak out! If I were her mother I'm sure I would to!! Maybe talk to her mom, & make sure shes talks to her mom as well. Maybe it just horrified her mother. Maybe she didn't know that girls did that nowadays, she may find it to be inappropriate. If shes uncomfortable as far as her daughter doing that then maybe she should stop, I don't know. Anyways good luck. SO bottum line, it sounds natural but I can see how ppl would freak out & disapprove.BUT I do not agree with the sex thing. Shes too young!!!!!! I'd really advise to make her talk to her mom about her hormones & "urges". Its normal for hormone to be raging BUT that doesn't mean you go out & have sex!
