Liberals aren't the only humans that behave like apes. I think we can all agree that most politicians, regardless of the party they're in, behave like the animals that their ancestors are derived from.

As far as your question goes, there's a direct relationship between the similarities between our genes and another species' to the when they diverged.

So if my protein is similar to a chimpanzee's protein, it is because we diverged recently so genetic mutations and drift did not have as much time to change. However, if an E.Coli bacterium has drastically different proteins than I, it is because we diverged a billion years ago. My ancestors had more time to mutate different proteins.

those are human scientific designations that have not something relatively to do with the selection of species in animals...we %. an characteristic and assign it to the creature and then cubby hollow them into genus catagories and attempt to family individuals them up. the project is this phylem spectrum...you have mammals, reptiles, amphibians, rooster. a number of each have their existence on land and a few interior the water...the spectrum is purely too large and too huge for any human to attempt to associate them altogether. it fairly is one in all of the subject concerns that evolution won't be able to %...if we developed from primates then what did primates evolve from? I guess you answered your own question. I don't see why it's so hard to believe, in the end we all share the same ancestry, but we're so far removed it's hard to believe.

If you're looking at it from a religious perspective then even there we are made of the same stuff as the animals.
