OnStar® in one of my vehicles has cell service with it.
I would like to have a carry around cell phone with a matching number.
Has anyone been able to do this with their service?
Can you basically have a cell phone extension?

The simple answer is no. If you have a Verizon Wirless account the two can share the minutes, but they will have diffrent phone numbers

It works by taking your plan over. So you get in the car and activate the feature so that now all your calls go to your onstar instead of your phone. Works by call fowarding. Keep in mind this really isnt cost effective, instead i recomend you get a bluetooth or handfree system that would work by using your cars FM streo as the speakers. Much cheaper in the logn run
