I am sorry that people have been rude to you.....or answered like idiots.
I have had four children and after each one my periods were all a little different...normally I am 28 days like clockwork...but it took almost a year to get "normal" again.....and when I was about to start I was extremely exhausted.....
Do you have a family dr? See if they can fit you in...they are usually able to see you faster...
Good luck.

I would say that if you have a WIC office near you they will do a test for free and it may be that your body is just changing a little because you do have a six month old I know that when I had my children that my cycle was right on until my second one then I would go for months before I would have another period. As far as the retaining of water and the feeling tired your body doesnt know that you are not actuallly having your period so you will still bloat and feel tired just as if you were still having a period if you can wait to see the doctor I would then you will know exactly what is going on.

The fact that you have a baby already and probably dont want another already, could cause you not to have a period. I dont know what state you live in, but try planned parenthood or your local health department, they usually do free pregnancy tests, or low cost. You can usually get in fairly quickly as well. Any time a period doesn't come I always assume I am pregnant, but 9 times out of 10 I am not, it's all psychological. Good Luck!

I am going through the same thing! My daughter is 7 months old and after her birth, I had normal periods. But I haven't had a paeriod in 2 months. I took a pregnancy test and it was negative. I called my doctor and she said my periods are just irregular now b/c of breastfeeding. I don't know if U breastfeed or not, but if U do...that's probably what's wrong. I would just suggest U consult your doctor.

I am late on my period too and I'm scared but I researched that the more I worry about it, the later it'll come and the more it'll be delayed but I still can't help it. That might be in your case if you really don't want to be pregnant but take another test in a week or so?

I must say it sounds like you have a Bacterial infection. I had a loss due to a bacterial infection, it will cause loss of your cycle, lathargy and weight gain. You may or may not notice an odor and discharge.
However I would suggest calling your doctor back and seeing if you can't get in sooner...if not then I would make an appt with your family physician.
best wishes...

Your gp wont do anything for one missed period.I have missed quite a few periods, and never been pregnant. My gp wont investigate until i have missed 4 or 5,at least.
Maybe you are stressed and also worrying too much about not coming on your period, and that is why.
I find that my stomach swells, because i havent come on, and you feel bloated all over.
The more you worry and keep checking to see if you come on, the longer it will take.

Maybe you could try going to your local health department and getting a test done. Also try your family doctor, they can do the test there too.
