There is no way to tell. While José rode on the trail for 6.7 miles, there is nothing in the question that would cause one to assume that the trail was only 6.7 miles long. So you can safely say that the trail is greater than or equal to 6.7 miles in length.

Approximately 6.67 miles.

If two thirds of the 10 mile bike ride was over a mountain trail, you'd multiply 10 by 2/3 and get 6.66 repeating.

if there's no reason to assume it was only 6.7 miles, then there is no reason to assume it was at least 6.7 miles, because he could have ridden in circles on the mountain trail.
