okay so i have itunes on my computer. i broke my ipod so i got rid of it. i still have itunes and use it. so if i were to plug in my friends shuffle on my computer wat wud happen?? wud my songs be erased? or wud his songs be erased? or wud no songs be erased?? if i were to just plug it in and save the songs to my computer in a folder wud it work without erasing anything??/

well i plugged it in and no songs were erased.

you can take youfriends songs off of his ipod by enabling disc usage then going into my computer and finding your firends ipod in there and open it then click on view and folder options and one again view at the top of that and then look for "show hidden files and folder" click on that and then click ok now there should be anoter folder called "ipod_control" open that and his music is in that folder copy his music onto your computer and then you add his music to itunes,

now when you sync it it will take off his songs but you have them so you can add them back if you want....

Once you plug in your friends iPod the songs on the shuffle will be erased and your will replace them.

it would just erase the songs of ur friends ipod not any of anyones computer. i dont think you can download ur friends songs onto ur computer

If his iPod is set to automaticlly update songs, then it will ask if you want to synchronize his iPod with your library. If not, then it will replace his songs with yours.
