I had the cryotherapy procedure done because of an abnormal Pap smear (had colposcopy done before that). It's been exactly a week. I'm still leaking clear fluid, which my doctor said is normal. It's not heavy leaking, but enough that requires a panty liner. The info sheet she gave me said no sex for one week. It's been one week, but I was wonder if it's ok to have sex even though I'm still leaking a little bit of clear fluid. I've left doctor a message, but unfortunately she's one of those busy types (might need to find a new doctor too). Anyone have experience with this?

If I remember correctly, I was told 2 weeks after by my doctor. You are probably fine to go ahead, but if you feel more comfortable waiting, then wait a bit longer.

I would give it a few more weeks on the sex part but call again on Mon because they can easily forget about returning calls if they are super busy.

The clear discharge is ok. That is normal for after a cryotherapy. My dr told me that I would have that when I had it done in 2005 to take care of problems with chronic cervical infections. And yes, sometimes it may be heavy enough to wear pantyliners for a time. That should hopefully clear up in the next week. If not let the dr know.

It is suggested you wait 10 to 14 days. You are probably fine after 7 though. They ask you to wait so that the scrach that they gave you has time to heal.
