well if you want something other than the mainstream nashville stuff then I would recommend some Texas Music such as Kevin Fowler, Ricky Calmbach, Randy Rogers Band, Deryl Dodd, Doug Moreland, Robert Earl Keen and there's many more Texas artists. KVET is a station out of Austin, TX that plays alot of the Texas stuff. I believe that you can listen to KVET live from their website. www.KVET.com

I would also recommend Cooder Graw although the band has recently split up. They have several good CD's out. The leade singer, Matt Martindale, is still performing on his own though.

Hope that helps some!

Depends on what you call Country, most of todays artists are just pop. All kinds of Country, western swing,bluegrass.etc.

Depends. Gretchen Wilson is good if you like real music. Dierks Bently's really good at relationship songs. LeeAnn Rimes is nice and soft. When in doubt, turn to Toby Keith.
