I have fiber glass body panel and they need to be cut because the new wheel i put in wont fit when turning. How do you think I should do this?

Cutting it will lead to splintering and cracking. Use a sander, and take your time!

You are going to make a hell of a mess out of this unless you have a really steady hand and a good eye.

You cut it with a carbide-embedded wire blade. You'll have itchy-as-hell-fiberglass flying everywhere and more likely than not you'll crack it anyway despite how careful you are. Fibergalss work is the hardest of all autobody skills to master - I sure as hell wouldn't attempt it.

I say put the old tires back on. If your new tire/wheel is that dang big you are asking for trouble anyway (hard to steer, tough on suspension ,etc.).

You can use a jig saw with a fine toothed bi-metal blade. Use masking tape over the area you want to cut to help reduce the amount of chipping and splintering. Good luck.

hubby says he used an air-powered cut off wheel while cutting on fiberglass hood.
