Watch out for leg cramps after going to sleep. With our first pregnancy we found the only way to effectively "cure" the cramps was rubbing ice cubes directly on the skin over the cramping thigh or calf.

If you start getting cramps, keep a bowl of ice cubes handy when you go to sleep so your husband can ice you down when you wake up in serious pain.

Yes, I am sorry, but that is true.

Haha...everyone said that to me too....they were right.

The weight isn't like gaining regular weight all over....it is in one place, and it puts a lot of pressure on the bones of your hips, pubis, and back. It is very hard to stay comfortable.

You feel hotter...you feel tired. Your feet swell...either a little or a whole lot (I have stretch marks on my feet).

Your body has more blood in it, and it is working harder to pump all that blood through your body.

Your intestines and your joints have both become softer and more flexible. This causes nausea, and acid reflux (which you should be experiencing soon...and that gets worse and WORSE until you give birth), and it also causes joint and muscle problems, and a kind of waddling walk once your weight starts changing the way you stand.

I had bad problems with my two pubic bones not staying at the same level. The ligament between them...the pubic symphisis, had softened, and one pubic bone shifted down lower than the other one. If feels as if someone has smacked you full force in the pubic bone with a hammer. I worked in an office with 50 other women, and not one of them had had this problem during their pregnancies, so it might not happen to you.

You will manage...you have no other choice, but it does get hard sometimes. Just remember, that the longer your baby stays INSIDE you, the healthier it will be. No matter how bad you want that baby out of you, don't try natural remedies to try to "induce" labor early.

Be patient, and try to get some good medicine from your doc that helps with your symptoms.

I am 35 weeks pregnant, and the only things that are harder or 'worse' are 2 things: number one, getting up at night to go to the bathroom. This happens more and more frequently as the baby gets bigger and pushes on your bladder. I have a hard time falling asleep after getting up, so I am more tired than I was at 28 weeks. Secondly, as your joints and ligaments loosen up for delivery, it makes all your joints sore. I get out of bed, and my joints 'crack'. So, it can be hard to sleep in one position for more than a couple hours. But, I usually have to get up for the bathroom, and then lay on the other side!

However, I am not miserable by any means, I am so thrilled that my due date is approaching, and excited about having the baby that I don't mind being a little sore and sleepy.

I am entering my 28th week and I think it is getting a bit "worse". I still love being pregnant and enjoy it but I am having plenty of sleepless nights, espeacially since my baby seems to enjoy moving and kicking when I want to sleep. Also, I had some leg cramps (not nice!) and it seems that I get restless legs at night. Its uncomfortable, but I am told if I cant sleep now, to wait until the baby's born :)

Every pregnancy is different, so I can't tell you for sure it will be better/worse but that seems to be my experience so far!

it doesn't get worse, but you will be off balance more , it's more uncomfortable getting around because you are getting bigger, your feet might swell more, you feel like a weeble lol, you have to pee more , don't worry, i don't know why people would say that to you, it was not very nice, i have had five children, i enjoyed the later part of pregnancy more then the beginning, you feel your baby more, you feel pregnant not fat, i was more tired at times but i felt like there was a part of me growing inside rather then indigestion, you should look forward to this time, sometimes the baby kicks and you can see a foot it's cool my oldest did that a lot, you'll manage fine ,

I think its just that people say the second trimester is usually their favorite-- they're not too tired yet, they start to feel the baby kick, and they aren't enormous.

I'm at 36 weeks and there hasn't been much change since week 28. I'm slightly more tired now, but other than that just fine. . . tying shoes it a little tough and having to go to the bathroom atleast once an hour.... but that's pretty much it!

I know for me I had a hard time from week 12 up until I had my baby. It wasn't really any harder or any easier. My complaints just changed. From tired to achy to tired to sick and so on. With my first it was completely different. I had such an easy time the whole time. So it is different for everyone. I hope that it will get easier for you!!

My pregnancy overall was easy. But that last month before I had my son was the hardest. Because I could not sleep or sit comfortable. I started getting this pain in my side, that someone said was him resting on a nerve. Lifting the clothes hamper started to hurt also.

The first and third trimesters are very similar. Alot of the same symptoms etc... frequent pee stops, the whole nine yards, however they could be just talking about labor and delivery.
