there is nothing over the counter that will stop your period from coming. you can change your cycle with birth control pills.

I don't know of any over-the-counter medications that can do this, but continous birth control can. Basically, you get a regular type of birth control like Ortho Tri-Cyclen (most people would not recommend the "low" hormone ones for this) and skip the week off. Just go from Week 3 back to Week 1, without taking the iron fillers they put in for Week 4.

You should definetely have a talk with your doctor first, though. I only have about three periods a year, but then again, I am doing this for medical reasons.

If you are on birth control, you can start taking your next pack as soon as the other one runs out, and this will postpone your period, but I don't recommend it. I tried it once and it made me wacky and off the wall moody. I could not control my emotions at all and I still had break through bleeding, so it wasn't even worth it. Any time you play around with your hormones it's not a good thing, nor is it safe.

Of cos there is a way! I took it before. Got it from the doctor. I started (taking it) two weeks before my menses was supposed to come, and stopped taking it on the last day of my trip. My menses came the day after that! The problem is, I can't remember the name of the medicine. But the doctor did ask me if I was pregnant when I was taking it ... not sure if it's a birth control pill ...

It's ok to swim and take a bath during this time. Some women are uncomfortable with it but that's THEM. I used to swim all the time when I had my period because it's good for cramps. And what feels better then a hot bath when we just need to relax and unwind and I always do during that time. If you're ok with it...then it's all good!!! Enjoy!

No such thing. Doesn't exist. The ONLY way to postpone your period is to be on birth control pills. And you would have to be on them at least 2 months before you could change the date of your period.

ive never heard of anything that can do that other than birthcontrol. you need hormones estrogen and progesterone in a prescription form to delay it. nothing over the counter will delay it. nothing safe anyways. get on the pill. thats your safest and more effective bet.

I've done this several times. Its kinda a psyhcologiocal game I have with my body. I tell myself that I am not getting my period and then stress myself out so badly that I don't get it.
its worked for me several times.
