What size engine did the 1999 Chevy Cavalier LS have in it?

I know it was a 4 cylinder but was it a 2.2 or 2.4???

the 99 cava came with both of the engines, check the vin and you should be able to find which engine you have.

Mines a 98, but the stick shift came in 2.2, automatic 2.4.

most likely it had the 2.2 I believe GM did a 1.9, 2.0, and 2.2 in the four cylinder if it is six I believe they are 2.8, 3.0, and 3.2
