When I get my period it is kind of heavy but that not my problem, my problem is I have to wear two pads because one isnt long enough and when i am on it goes all the way to they back of the pad for some reason,I dont know how or why this happens but am i the only one this happen to and how do i stop it .It gets kind of uncomfortable having to wear 2 pads.(For example i was at school and i was on my period, i had on one pad but it wasnt long enough so it leaked trough my jeans so I had a stain right in the middle of my butt, then i had to go home)

I used to have to wear two pads sometimes at nite because of the amount of bleeding until I found longer type pads like those that are sold in hospitals (you can find them in the drugstore) or as some of the other posters said the Always Overnite. During the day I've also been using the maximum strength pad from Always. They also have a pad designed for heavy flows but I don't know how long the pad itself is. The one for heavy flow comes in a green package that could be another option for you.

I've had that problem before. I buy the extra long pads. But not only that, I know that the first 2-3 days are the heaviest so at that time I use a tampon and a pad just to make sure.

About the blood going all the way to the back- This is normal it happens to all girls. Trust me, but don't worry there is pads you can buy that are extra long and thick. These work wonders. Check the pads before you but them to see which one is great for you. Now, about it being heavy, it depends on what you mean by "heavy"- many girls have heavy periods, but if you experience more heavy periods than a normal "heavy" then you need to check with your doc!

They sell extra long pads and ones for super absorbency.
Maybe your buying the wrong kind. Or you could switch to tampons and then wear a pad with those in case you leak. Just bring extra tampons and trade them out every 4 hours.

If you can wear those ob tampons, they are small but they hold alot of stuff. then wear a pad with them to insure that any over leakage is caught, you can also get those extra long pads with wings. those also help alot. but if you can wear tampons I suggest doing that. I can't stand the feeling of blood against me.. thats why I wore them when I had my periods. thank god I don't have them no more. menopause.. yes

you need to try the over night pads they r longer than a regular pad, go to your gynecologist and ask about that , they can give you something to slow your bleeding down. That is not healthy to bleed so much, it can cause your blood level to drop to low and you can pass out from it. Do you find yourself light headed sometime during that time?

You can't stop it. Your flow is what it is. I personally never have that problem but you have to be really careful and change regularly. Really I was never a big fan of pads so I'd like to blame it on that. Hope you figure something out.

It leaks through to the back because when you sit down, your pelvis is tilted that way - gravity sucks sometimes. Use a tampon and a pad, and you should be fine.
