The reason I say this is that my wife and I still like to go out disco dancing on occasion. We can still find it in the big city. Whenever I mention this to other men, they think that I am gay. I tell them that disco for me was all about the fun and that I love rock at home and in my car. Yet they still view me as possibly gay and I am just the opposite of gay. Why do some hetero men think of dancing as being gay? That is so f'ng backwardazz imo.

The only Disco music that I WILL NOT dance to is anything by the Village People. There are some pretty good classic disco songs for when you are out partying and dancing. Our fave is SHAKE YOUR GROOVE THING by Peaches & Herb

And your middle aged not in highschool..why do you care what these other men think. ??...Just tell them that disco dancing gets your wife horny as hell and she always puts out afterward... they'll shut up knowing that your getting some.

Some people are so shallow minded. It doesn't really matter what others may think. If your wife & you enjoy dancing disco, then that's all that matters. Maybe men make judgement about you liking disco & being gay, because they're jealous that they can't dance.

The stereotype of Sylvester, The Village People, KC and the Sunshine Band and the "men who literally love them" rubs off on today's society.
The gay community can bash me all they want. Some people will never ken to homosexual lifestyle as an acceptable alternative. I personally think that it's okay for adults to be around known homosexuals in the workplace, clubs, etc., though my kids shouldn't be with known gay babysitters. The percentage of pedophiles who have "tested the line" with adults first before experimenting further is astronomical.

Disco started out in gay centers and only later appealed to a more mainstream audience. Look at the videos from the period. People might be backwards, but it's hard to change them.

I think whats important here is that you and your wife enjoy going out to the disco club and having fun. With that being said who cares what others think about it. You only live once so if you have fun doing it then HAVE FUN!! God bless

If you are having a good time, who cares what they think....Hello, you are going there with your WIFE.....keep it up as long as the two of you are having a good time. I am sure it is great for your relationship and keeps the romance alive.
Almost forgot. I know middle aged men who like disco music, it was our era after all.

i think if a man know how to shake it...then its really hot. But If they can't dance they should just sit down and watch. The guys that think you are gay, can't dance. You can tell them that a lot of woman say how a guy moves on the dance floor is a good indicator of....you know what!!!! Yumm
