statistics are not a really good thing to go by when it comes to races except for maybe population reasons. it really depends on where they do the study. let's say they are studying to find out the percentage of violence in african americans and they complete the study in a poor community, filled with gangs and violence. well, that isn't going to make their results come out correct.

I don't trust statistics at all. Seems like many things are just one sided too much.

I'd rather trust United States Government statistics than someone's "gut instinct" LOL. I defy anyone to find fault with these statistics, but of course the "affirmative action people" will cry 'raysism' because they're afraid of the truth. Most of these statistics are from US Government sites and are reliable sources.
Blacks "were 7 times more likely than whites to commit homicide in 1998"

Let x = dead negroes killed between 1994-2003
x / 219,663,000 x 100,000 = 3.16
x = (3.16)(219,663,000) / 100,000
x = 6941 per year
6941 x 10 years = 69,410 dead negroes
This is over TEN THOUSAND MORE DEATHS THAN WERE SUFFERED BY AMERICANS DURING THE ENTIRE VIET NAM WAR.

I think that stats can be bias in some occasions, and some can misrepresent a culture
