You all can not be that naive..Two border agents are in prison for doing their job . They were convicted by a US attorney following the instructions of the Mexican government.Yet Johnny Sutton is still in office. Apparently Sutton follows instructions very well. Why has the President refused to pardon the agents.

Because congress has no right to violate the powers of the executive branch. George Bush can fire them for any reason whatsoever. If they wear pink sox, or if they like Patrick more than SpongeBob, he can fire them.
What is occuring is that congress is demanding to know why the executive branch made a decision about something to which congress has no oversight.
How about George Bush requires that members of congress and their staff take oaths in from of a military tribunal demanding to know why they chose brown curtains instaed of red curtains in their office? The reason is obvious.....George Bush has no business involving himself in internal congressional matters.....and congress has no business involving itself in internal executive matters.
Why does congress not subpoena the Supremes whenever they refuse to hear a certain case, or whenever they decide a certain way? Same arguement again....becasuse it is the purview of the judiciary, and congress has no business poking its noses in this matter.

If subpoenas were issued, the hearings would turn nto a freak show.
Some senators would be interested in getting at the facts, but there''d be so much political grandstanding,it'd be like the Simpsons on C-Span.

Why should he?
As you said, no crime was committed and he (or rather, his appointees) have done nothing wrong.
Yet, the Democratic-controlled Congress is fishing for something to pin on Bush's administration. They're hoping for another "Scooter" issue...hoping that they can create a crime out of a non-issue by pinning administration members down and hoping they'll find some kind of perjury.
Bush is well within his rights on this issue to say "kiss my pearly white ***".

If his closest aides are under the threat of supena then they will not speak freely even to him. This is a restiction of the free thought of ideas.
Not to mention its insulting to be accused of something without proof.

It's comments like this by people like you that drain the very blood from the leadership of this country. Do you think you could do better? Would you want your countrymen to support you if you tried?
