well i'm gonna get a new car soon for graduation and it's gonna be in about two months. so i need some guidance on cars. please keep in mind that this is my first time getting a new car. so i would like to kno which one is better, on gas insurance, etc. i really like the mitsubishi evo but it drinks up a lot of gas and expensive gas at that. but it's a 4 door. the only thing bad about it is it's a mitsubishi, and i've heard a lot of stories about their products breaking down a lot, and consistantly needing repairs. on the other hand is the scion tc by toyota, it's a sweet ride but it's a two door. so i'm kinda stuck about which car to get. i want a nice car that would last me a while. until i can afford to buy myself a car, because this one is a graduation present. so i seriously need some help to pick between the two. please lend me ur advice, suggestions, and expertise. thank you very much.

Your comparing an evo and a tc? Are you sure you don't mean a mitsubishi lancer? An evo is an all-wheel drive turbocharged supercar-chasing, rally-cross monster. The Scion tc is a complacent little two door front wheel drive coupe. They are absolutely by no means in the same category of vehicles... plus the evo easily costs $12,000 more than the scion. The insurance would also be outrageous with the evo.

Those tiny 4 bangers drink gas?? Try a 360 Durango with 350 horsepower..... thats gas drinking..... Seriously Mitsubushi has bad quality control problems.... out of the 2 I would pick the Scion..... and dont worry about gas, they should be both good, insurance should be good as well, cheaper for the Scion.

You are asking to compare apples and oranges. If you want economy, go Toyota. Mitsubishis are just as well built as Toyotas, just much higher performance, and people drive them that way, hence more problems. The EVO gets over 30 mpg (depending on driver), and yes, it uses premium fuel and synthetic oil. The insurance is very high. If you have to ask about cost, the EVO isn't for you. They are very expensive to maintain, but well worth it.
