I have always been told that women were dumb, but you have
asked the most sensible question on this forum since I have been a member, however I think they should be punished more severely than you do after all their lies affect many many people, unlike a lie you tell your husband or wife, it hurts lots of people and what about our image abroad? of course the punishment should fit the crime , if they caused a lot of deaths or ruined other peoples lives and a lot of their lies have. then let the punishment fit, thanks for a good question

No i like Mr Bush aswell. However Bush isn't the only one that has lied... if people didn't lie in politics then we wouldn't have any interest in the position. Bush and most other people do lie hence people in office we call POLITICIANS. It is bad but the truth, if our politicians couldn't lie then their speeches would go a little more something like this
"My fellow americans... (not really i just say that to make you thing i am good)... i want you to know that i can make the world a better place (i don't really give a rats poop what happens i am just in it for the money)..."
Then what would happen to our country? NO more corruption, things getting done and that is what we call a UTOPIA something that can't ever be created. Its life and it sucks and the are politicians and they suck...

If you know he's a liar, why on EARTH would you want to serve under him???
Do you realize that about half-a-million Iraqis have died in this war? But that's okay, because you "feel bad" for them, right?
He lied to get us into war with Iraq but you think that's okay?
When told of the 9/11 attacks George Bush sat still for over 7 minutes - frozen like a deer in headlights. There is video PROVING this. Compare that with Rudy Guiliani's actions on that day and GWB looks like a puppet and a coward. (If the Republicans aren't smart enough to nominate Rudy in '08 then they deserve to lose the White House and Congress and the Senate - which they will.)
GWB's military records are inexplicably "missing" because he was AWOL during the Vietnam War. But you respect him when he sends other people's children to die in a war he started by LYING TO CONGRESS????
I'm a veteran saying to you PLEASE don't join the military until you wake up, grow up and face reality.

"Impacts public duties" -- to ambigous to survive a challenge.
That's why the lines are drawn at statements under oath (perjury), statements at congressional hearings (18 USC 1001), and statements or lies that impede an official investigation (obstruction of justice).
Besides, every politician would be out of business if lying was always punishable.

There is a law against lying when you're under oath, its called "Perjury", which is why Bush doesn't want to have his Staff placed under oath for questions about the US Attorney firings...then they can lie to their hearts content with no legal ramifications.

It is a crime to lie. It's even worse to believe it when credible information exists that can demonstrate it's a lie.
Thing is, you can't say that Bush lied or he was given bad information. It could be either way, and since no one's talking anyone pointing fingers is just making assumptions. Only way to find out is to make him testify under oath.
