Do not get Bare Escentuals! The stuff does not look natural because it has only been milled three times, so the powder particles are not very fine, and in order to completely cover spots, you have to put enough on until you end up with a thick makeup look. The best mineral powder makeup is Jane Iredale, milled six times! The coverage on spots is so much easier to achieve, you use less, and it's so much more natural looking.

You can probably google Jane Iredale and I'm sure there's a website that will tell you where to get it in your area. It's probably available at Sephora and ULTA.

I doubt I'll ever use anything else. Also, one thing Jane Iredale has that Bare Escentuals doesn't is a mist that you mist on after you apply the powder. It's a must-have, and worth every penny! This mist sets the powder and gives you a fresh dewy look, whereas Bare Ecscentuals gives you a powdery makeup-looking finish. With Jane Iredale, it looks almost like you're NOT wearing makeup!

Make sure you get the shade that matches your skin tone exactly, not darker! Jane Iredale has about ten colors to choose from, as opposed to Bare Escentuals four, I think it is.

Enjoy your natural beauty!

I have been using Bare Minerals for a few months now, and I can honestly say that I will NEVER use anything else on my face.

I had horrible skin when I first began using it. Pimples, red spots, puffy eyes... you name it! I was skeptical at first because I thought there is no way a powder foundation will give me the coverage I needed. But, after trying it I was amazed. For the first few days I couldn't stop looking in the mirror because I couldn't believe how pretty I looked. People actually told me I looked like I had my makeup airbrushed. Everything blends so well, and the colors are Gorgeous!

This is what I do... First, I use the concealer brush and cover any blemishes and red spots I have. Then I buff the foundation on my face with the full coverage kabuki brush. I use an eye product called "well rested" around my eyes (eye lid and under eye) then i use the Blush brush and use Warmth on my forehead, cheeks, nose, and chin. After that, I use Glee on the apples of my cheeks, and Clear Radiance over that. Then I use the Mineral veil over everything to reduce shine. I also recommend a produce from a separate company, PUR Minerals, it is a mineral spray. It works really well with mineral makeup. just one or two sprays sets everything.

I know it sounds like a lot of makeup on your face, but trust me it blends so beautifully that someone could get two inches from your face and not even notice the makeup. The trick is to remember that you do not have to use so much. The first few times I applied it it looked HORRIBLE. I actually cried because I spent like $150 on everything and I thought I wasted my money. But I watched the DVD that came with it and after a few tries, I became a pro :-)

Anyway, I hope this helps! I know I am going on and on, but women spend so much time on their face that I am just so happy that I found something that I love so much :-)
Also, it is so gentle on my face that my skin has actually cleared up a bit. I still have some blemishes, but compared to how my face looked using liquid makeup, it is 100% better.

You would most likely go with the light or fairly light color. Also the mineral veil it gives a finishing look or you may want to try the tinted mineral veil. clear radiance gives a glow to the face, its very pretty. also you may want to try the blush called glee, and the warmth color it makes your face look like you got some sun. I have about the same skin as you and these work great for me.

i've been hearing about this one brand called Dermablend. It's supposed to be smooth and perfect for acne or even diseases from the skin!! I dont have acne so i wont use it, but for people who do! this product does sound pretty cool. But not sure you would have to go to dermablend.com or something to see if its right for u!! <3
