my sons brnt hamburgers to the bottom of my non stick kettle, they wer abdly burnt, also scorched vanilla pudding ot the bottom of another pan. I need to find out how to get this out with out scratching the bottom of the pan

Just add a little dish washer detergent to your pan (dry, wet, packets, no matter) and some water put it on the stove and let it simmer for a while. After it has cooled just wash it out.
I have 2 small chefs' in my home as well :)

Put a good amount of baking soda in the bottom and hot tap water to cover bottom of pan. Let soak.
May reqire you doing twice but it does work.
Do not scrub with anything abrasive such as a scratch pad when cleaning.

Put a tablespoon of baking powder and add a small amount of warm water just so it cover´s the stain & leave for 10-20 min´s it should lift out then wash with a little of your own washing up liquid

baking soda sprinkled in the bottom of the pan with a little water, works great, I had to do it a time or 2.

Fill with hot soapy water, add some liquid fabric softener. Let stand over-night.

Easy off' works great. but just put it on the bottom wait for few minutes and clean it. its amazing for bad stains.
