I'm not going to pretend to answer for woman, but I think sometimes they do just beause if a woman is hanging out with a bunch of straight men, at least one, if not more, are going to try to get into her pants. With gay men, there's not that pressure or "threat".
But strangely enough, straight men don't seek the company of lesbian woman to be just "friends". I wonder why that is....

It depends on what kind of company your looking for. As a friend they can be a girls best! I went to beauty college and I had several while I was there and they are fun, funny, and can have a conversation that a straight man just can't seem to have with a woman. as far as enjoying hanging out or having a really good time I'll choose that time with a straight guy everytime!

I do, well for some things like shopping, talking on the phone, having lunch with.. because gay men understand us, and plus what a sense of fashion they have got! 100%!

I prefer str8 men...The gays I've hung around only seem concerned about everyone's outfits and hair and picking on people. Then as soon as someone points at them and laughs and says, "Ooh look at that sissy!", they jump all defensive. I did work with a gay guy who was really sweet, I didn't even know he was gay at first so he's the only cool one I've met.

Some women don't care if he's bald/overweight/stupid/ etc as long as he's a male. So straight or gay shouldn't be an issue.

Depends on my mood. If I'm feeling sexy, I prefer straight. If i'm feeling catty and bit_hy, I prefer gay.

straight men are to shallow and judgemental , they want sex and there dickheads and gay guys are like our best friends !!!they are more relatable (spelling?) and most are fun and really entertaining. They are awesome !
