If the world were all but destroyed by war and only a few were to survive. Would you rather have died or been part of the group left to rebuild humanity?

Good question matey. I suppose it would depend on how many of the remaining group were left because rebuilding the human race could take ot out of you. You would need to put a bit of overtime in. If you lived I suppose your name would remain in history until the world destroyed itself again. You would be the new Adam & Eve.
