Chevrolet usually unviels the Corvette at the C5/C6 bash at the Corvette Museum the last weekend of April. The changes for 2008 are: elimination of LeMans Blue and Monterey Red replaced by two new colors. New wheels for the coupe and convertible, new interior trim color options, 4LT package on coupe and convertilbe, 3LZ on Z06, and the biggest change a new LS3 engine for coupe and convertible. It's suposed to be 6.2L and increase from 400h.p. to 425h.p.

Just to add on, Warren's speculation on the LS9 engine is what Chevy has been working on for a few years now, code named Blue Devil. If you run a search for the Corvette Blue Devil, you'll find spy photos of it being tested on a speed track in Germany, where it outperformed Porsches and other supercars.

Anyway, yeah, the info on the 2008 Vette will be out about the end of April. The car will look quite similar to the 2007, but there is word that the engines will be bigger in the stock Vettes (LS3).

The 2008 Corvette is no different than the 2007 Corvette. The redesign of the corvette could be a few more years away.

The Corvette is getting a new 6.2L engine, like the one used in the Cadillac Escalade. There is a rumor that for 2009 they are planning a Corvette "SS" with a supercharged 6.2L LS9 that would put out between 600-650hp, possibly (but not likely) 700.
