I AM AN AVON REP. it does not cost you anything to start up! according to some. it is all to do with how many customers you get and how much they spend, i have done a few different areas now due to house moves and 2 out of 3 were worth doing. It is worth a go beacuse you wont loose anything. give your area a chance though i'd say 3 campaigns (books) as some people dont trust you when you are new. good luck i still do it as it pays for our hols every year. i have 40 customers dont always all order but on average i earn £40-60 at xmas you earn mega £200 each camapign for 3 campains. you start off with 25% commision after a year it rises to 30% you need to stay on top of the paper work esesially if you have returns etc. It isn't easy but it isn't that cmplicated to get used to. you could aslo try the site below i make £20 now and agian from it

I was going to do it while i worked full time to get a bit of cash. But when the rep came round to talk to me it didnt seem wothwhile at all. It used to be that you only got 10% in commission so your customers would have to buy 100 pounds woth before you got a tenner. I dont know if it has changed at all becuase that was a few years ago, it may have changed a lot since then. The best thing to do is go on the Avon website and look into it on there.

I sold Avon for a while. The products are great and you get great discounts for being a representative. But i live in such a small community that I didnt sell enough to make it worth it. I was buying more than I sold. If you have atleast a few people that will be buying from you on a regular basis then I would say go for it. It was defienetly fun.

I liked selling avon however I was my own best customer so I never made any money. Almost everyone around where I live sells Avon but it's not a lot of start up cost so you really wont be lost lots of money like with other products you sell with parties and such.

Might work if you're not so concerned about the money. Comission is a big compromise because the less you sell, the less comission you gain. If you need the money doing this bussiness you'll have to really work, work, work. Have you thought about Mary Kay! Mary Kay comission is 50% no matter how much you sell and their cosmetic line is very nice and long lasting. When I purchase avon stuff (cosmetics) they smell and go bad! Mary Kay doesn't change their stuff all the time, which makes it easier for you to explain the products to your customers.

I love there stuff but i tried it an found it quiet hard a lot off people order lots an then don't want it an it messes your order up . If you find this happening don't let them order again over wise you accounts will become messed up an Avon will not let you place a order .

I think avon cost too much to start up. And you have a lot of inventory. I'm a consultant for Purse party and love it! No inventory just a few samples! And the money is good!

its hard work for not much cash!
I was given a "patch" 3 miles from my home, I dont drive so i had to walk, plus the process of delivering books, collecting them, ordering stuff, delivering orders is painstaking and boring.
The chances of earning good money are slim, you have to collect it all in, tell your local leader how much you have then she tells you how much to keep and how much to banks, you end up with about £8 if your lucky!!!!!

I sell it and its putting me through college its more like a part time job for me. Its alot of work especially if you dont have a car to deliver things but you can do it online and the people pay through the internet to your account there's alot of great things. Just gotta work hard.
