Maybe the persuit of perfection is a form of vanity but try giving up doing something you love like playing an instrument, or not wanting to do your job or craft better. Wanting to be the best or doing something the best we can is an experession of our humanity. When we see something we see as perfect, like the Mona Lisa, hear our favorite song or see Anna Kornakovica's body we know what we mean by perfect. It's an ideal we wish we could achieve and by devoting ourselves to it we become something better then we were, or maybe we just bring out some of the best in ourselves. Peace!

Ah ha -- here's your answer. No one is perfect all of the time but we can strive to do our very best. Let's take something simple -- like bowling. If you bowl a 300 game, that is considered a "perfect" score. Had you not practiced, I can assure you that you would never have gotten that score. You aren't going to be perfect always though......you can still smile when the good things you "practiced" for went well though. Right?

Because the more you practice the closer to perfect you'll get!
you can do more than you think you can
you just have to find a certain thing that gives
you the extra push!

It's a very good mathematical question... There is certainly no equality to the equation. Perfection is a goal that can not be reached by any individual person, however, by practicing we are attempting to reach that goal. And if we are constantly reaching for a goal then we are also constantly bettering ourselves.

Maybe you are taking "perfect" to literal. Practice typically leads to improvement of some task or art.

I agree with you, nobody is perfect. Practice just improves your natural conditions.

So after you've practiced enough to get noticed your parents can make money off of you by selling you to the circus!
