Wouldn't you be doing more good putting all that time & money towards your volunteer work? What's the point of being in a pageant?

Its nothing special, just a couple of girls who need confidence or have no other talents. I think if they really wanted to do something right they wouldn't waste our time and go pick up some trash on the beach.

Some pageant organizations do a lot of good. Ms. America is a non-profit organization, and the #1 provider of college scholarships to women in the United States. The women who participate are very active, intelligent, and talented. The people involved are all volunteers.
The Ms. USA pageant, on the other hand, is a for-profit business owned by Trump. It is generally regarded as less prestigious than Ms. America, since "looks" count far more than talent or interview.
I don't know if they are really "changing the world," but I think they try to do some good through their hobby of choice.

You can't simply go into a pageant and change the world. But you sure could be volunteering and actually doing real work, and happen to be in a pageant.

Take for example that one girl, (forgot her name) who Trump stood up for. Come on really they are all for show and getting the money. Fakeness I can not stand.
