virgin media look a good deal, but then again so did talk talk until you had to wait 3 months for a welcome pack
most of these so called "good" packages are that price with a hidden clause, such as a 18 month min contract or a £100 get out early fine, but i am sure that virgin wouldnt be as bad as some isp,s
i have been with bt broadband for the last 3 years and i have never had any problems, and as bt are the defualt telephone suppliers you can be sure that they have a good connection speed
however from people i know who have gone over to virgin media they say its not bad,but i recommend you buy your own router as the virgin router is not much good apparently
good luck

I hope so i switched to it last night because the £50 a month was was not worth it.
I rang to cancel it altogether but they gave the reduced price and some extra channels so I would not defect to another provider.

Yes it is very good we have recently got it. The only problem is the lack of Sky 1 now but apart from that it is a very good package.

I've been with NTL (now VirginMedia) for over 10 years and have been more than pleased with all their services. At one time I had five accounts with them....think that says something doesnt it!! Good luck with your decision!
