The son was a convicted sex offender who should have been executed the first time. If he had been, this little 6 year old boy would still be alive.

jona-ni, I wont read your answer. It looks rambling and self serving. The simple fact remains if this beast had recieved the death penalty earlier, this 6 year old boy would be alive today.

No it does not justify the death penalty. Nothing justifies the death penalty...not even the terrible things those guys did.

The death penalty is just one step away from public hangings, people being drawn and quartered or simply cut up while alive in public. They used to hang children for stealing bread for gods sake.

How can we express abhorrence at murder when we do the same ourselves?

Death penalty as a deterrent? No way because no murderer expects to get caught.

Their lives are forfeit, no question. Our society has the means and control to make people like those guys provide a measure of reparation to everyone for the disgusting things they did.

To take their life has no meaning because they have already demonstrated that life has no value to them.

The Death penalty is wrong. Killing someone for a crime like this is REVENGE. When a supporter of the death penalty reads a story and asks people if they are still against it this shows they think that since they killed someone the killer should be killed. This is hypocritical because if you are against killing people and think it's wrong why would you want to kill. The death penalty and it's supporters are non-christian. There are examples of this in the New Testament. I hope ALL execution in the United States are abolished.

I do not know why you think throwing one story at us will make us change our values any more than you would.
Yes I do think the death penalty is wrong. I am not saying that people like this should not be punished and removed from society, but it being a more disturbing crime than most does not make me see any benefit in killing people.

This brought tears to my eyes.

I wish these monsters a painful and very slow death. Death penalty is too good for them. Way too good. These are not people, these are monsters.

I've always supported the death penalty. And stuff like that just enforces it. I thank you for taking the time to show this to others.

For some people, as those who committed that crime, I think that the death penalty is too leniant, if anything. For their victim died a slow, painful death, while they get to die a quick, painless and easy one.

i wont read your link
there is enough evil in the world ,
know we are all spirits [all ;even the most vile]
killing evil, allows the complete perversion of humanity ,
then to set the evil free in an other realm is absolutly the worst thing
think say we sent all evil to new york [essentially that is what we are doing]
cant you see evil in a body is contained ,if the body is contained ,set the evil free of its body ,it is free to do random evil any where ,ANYTIME ,evil set free is yet evil
its not as if the death gets rid of the evil
its just as flushing it down the toilet to go where all the other evil goes
do you know where that is ?
when we kill evil we our selves add to that contagin ,;we become evil as well ;but being only mildly evil when liberated from our flesh body [prison] that sends us to hell to be toermented by the cccrape we thought we had gotton rid of
but in relaity mearly sent ahead
we all die
evil must be conntained [in this flesh body ;in a real prison]
not the after being where all the evil bassturds have been sent from the beginnings of time
you are compounding evil with evil
the soul of the vile is set free to do vile [wisper its obscene evil into the ears of innocents]
to instead of one body be able to influence thousands of bodies to sin
you really think flushing them into the hell ends thier evil
it empowers it ; plus condemms us to many fold more evil
read about the evil and thier very real after life
in gone west/a wanderin spiritlands /heaven and earth
/more about the world unseen ,here and herafter all available at angel fire web site for free
thou shalt not kill is a law for the highest reason
