I have a dark blue strapless ball gown for prom. My date is maybe 1/4 inch shorter than me. I dont want shoes with because i dont want to be taller then him. I'd prefer silver shoes.

it shouldn't matter too much if your gown is floor length...people usually end up taking off their shoes or changing into flip-flops anyway. I would definitely go with a kitten heel or at least an open-backed shoe though, ballet flats really warm up and get gross on the dance floor.

maybe try silver shoes with a really short heel...personally i dont like ballet slippers with a nice dress

Hey, you should wear silver flats with diamons rinestones.
Buy some nice diamond earings to go with it.

Just make sure they are comfortable. Lots of girls wind up taking off shoes since you are on your feet all night. I knew some girls who bought slip on tennis shoes and decorated them with glittery paint.

whatever the color-- go with flats! They are cute and stylish. And very "in" right now.
ONCE YOU PICK THE SHOE/COLOR,
To tie the outfit together, get accessories of the same color- Purse, and jewelry.
