okay the easiest way to explain this is like this:

shooting foul - that's when the offensive player (person with the ball) attempts a shot and a defensive player makes contact with the offensive player. the person that took the shot will be allowed two free throws, unless the player made the basket, which in this case the basket counts and the player is awarded only one free throw.

non-shooting foul - occurs when the offensive player is not shooting and defensive player creates contact.
the offensive player won't shoot free throws until his/her team is in the bonus. you take the ball out of bounds.

bonus - bonus situation is when your team has accumulated a cetain number of fouls. every level is different. college and under is normally 7. a total of 7 fouls must be called against the other team in order for your team to be able to be in the bonus. when in the bonus, your team will be allowed to shoot free throws whenever a defensive player cretaes contact and a foul is called by a referee. you get to shoot one free throw. if you make it, you get to shoot another. if you miss it, the ball is live and you don't get another.

offensive foul - this is also known as a charge. this is when the defensive player is holding his/her positstion and the offensive player creates contact. this is normally called whenever an offensive player is making a drive to the basket, or when a screen is being set by an offensive player. no free throws are shot here, and the foul does not go towards your team fouls either.

flagrant foul - these are normally very hard fouls made by the defensive player. they are determined as flagrant if the referee feels the defender did not make a play for the ball whatsoever. these normally are given free throws plus the ball back to the offensive team, depending on league and its rules.

if i think of anything else i'll add on. hope this helps!!!

I`m not sure of listing the fouls, but if you get hit in the head,
the arm, the leg, etc. it`s a foul. Some refs may call, others won`t cause they don`t see it or their just pregidious to other teams. But if the other team get I think 8 team fouls, then it is a 1 on 1. That`s when or if the shooter makes the first shot they shoot another one. If they miss the first one then the ball is in play. Other times they shoot two. When they bring in the ball, sorry but I.D.K. about when they take out the ball.

you only shoot free throws if the person fouled is in the act of shooting, unless there are seven or more team fouls. At seven team fouls you get a 1 and 1, that is, if you make the first shot you get the second shot, if you miss the first shot then you don't get the second. If there are 10 or more team fouls then you get 2 shots.
