I'm Chinese. Most people don't even care. But, some of my closest friends make fun of me for it. When they feel down about themselves, they go on about my 'chinese nose' and crap. Is there a way to get them to stop? I've told them, they're guys, so they don't stop.

You might need to cut them off for awhile. They might not realize they are seriously bothering you. I had similar things happen before and I just started ignoring them. They finally realized I didn't like it and stopped. It was really more ignorance than evil intent, probably the same with your friends.

One of my closest friends is Chinese. She does not speak English too well yet we understand each other completely. I do not look for her faults and don't see any. Rather, I look at her strong points and understand that she is quite knowledgeable in her own way. Perhaps it's a feminine thing and guys are different? It can also be because you are still young and people learn to appreciate reality with time....well, sometimes. Don't worry about it, it will pass. If your friends can't stop making fun of you, then it's time for you to stop the friendship.

I'm not chinese... but I am Asian. I have this one canadian friend who sort of made fun of me 'cause I wasn't drinking that time... he would say stuff like "Asians don't know how to party", or he'll make fun of my height even though I am considered taller than average in Asian terms but not compared to a Canadian. What is so funny about it is that I'm the only Asian he knows... so I don't think he would intentionally try to hurt me... just joking around. However, the rest of my friends aren't like that. I'm not sure if it's a guy's thing, If its really bothering you, you should let them know about it ('cause maybe they don't realize it) and don't hesistate to leave so you won't have to deal with their crap if they start doing it again. It would give them a hint that you are serious.

If they are your closest friends, then they should be able to adjust their attitute towards you.
