For me the advantage was always having extra money. It helped pay for my college fees so I could graduate without a huge loan to pay off at the end. Also, it helped me keep my sanity. After classes or on the weekends I could focus on my part time job, be normal, and destress and hang out with friends from where I worked.

1. Networking (meet people)
2. Extra Cash
3. Tax Incentives (you can write-off tuition if you have income, otherwise you can't) - it's like free money from Uncle Sam.
4. Experience
5. Lower loan balances after you graduate if you take out school loans.
6. The ability to start a Roth IRA. You can't start a Roth IRA if you don't have any earned income (wages).
