Did anyone notice that Marsh & Mclennan Companies (originally around $29.00 a share) opened this morning on the market for 20 cents? I was browsing through the percentage losers early this morning and noticed it. I tried to do a trade for a few thousand shares but by the time I was ready to submit it, the stock was back up to $29.00. It doesn't show it on the one day chart as being that low, but check the open price and you'll see. Weird? That could've been a big profit!

Something weird happened to some stocks in the market today. I saw that the same went on with NYX (NYSE Stock) and a co-worker also experienced the same with another company (he told me at lunch time but I forgot the ticker).

It seems there was a market blip some where. However, you could not have traded this stocks at such prices... it was just a viewing blip.... I tried buying NYX at 0.20 cents and was unsuccessful!!

I've searched some news sites but have not found anything, let see if it develops into a story...

those are ask buy options which you see before the market opens once it opens the market corrects the price automatically. I see it a lot its not an issue. (and no you can't but it at that price)
