I'm going to ask my sales associate at Neiman Marcus to track down and order a pair of sunglasses for me, since they don't sell the pair at any store, and the only Lanvin boutiques are overseas. The problem is, I've never had to use that service before, as I've always just purchased things in-store. Shoud I tip the associate? Or is the commission enough? I mean, sunglasses are relatively inexpensive.....
I would like any commission-based associates in high-end stores to answer, please.

I work in a store part-time and we are not allowed to accept tips. You could buy the Sales Associate a little gift like a box of candy or something like that would be fine. A good Sales Associate doesn't except tips/gifts and enjoys going the extra mile to help a customer find the product(s) they are looking for.

honestly, tipping the revenues associate isn't appropriate, neither is it envisioned. in the event that they do something incredible for you, ask to talk to the government and compliment them. different kinds of centers, like the cable guy, do no longer anticipate strategies the two. even with the undeniable fact that, if the carry out some better provider for you, that's extremely appropriate to grant them a touch money.

I would tip because this is something you probably could have found on line yourself but the Sales Associate has done the work for you above an beyond duty.

If you want to tip him, feel free... if not, he'll probably be plenty-compensated by the commission. It's expected that sales associates work above and beyond, so he's just doing his job.

~No tipping. If you really feel that you must do something, a box of chocolates is a nice little thank you.
