I think its a tie between "Gone With The Wind" and "Titanic". Both of these movies are romantic epics, and both are multiple Oscar winners. I have watched both movies numerous times, and fall in love with each one again and again. Vivien Leigh and Clark Gable, including the supporting cast are magnificent and vibrate on screen, giving chilling performances, line after line. Kate Winslet and the marvelous Leonardo Dicaprio carry the movie Titanic, that had the potential to be a "Poseidon nightmare", and turned it into cinema gold. Say anyone of these movies outloud and its guaranteed people will jump in with comments, critiques and praise. But what I really think makes both of these movies the best movies ever made is because they leave an ever lasting taste on your tongue. A bittersweet taste, because you're happy you've seen the movie, but sad that its over.

The Godfather is really one of the best movies ever made, but also (sorry i don´t know the english title) the Western "Spiel mir das Lied vom Tod". There are many many good films in different catagories, so I can´t decide which is the best!
