Sometimes my ear hurts when I wake up from sleep.?

Its not the tip, which could have folded and I don't wear any hats. The middle area is the part that hurts -- the pain disappears after a short time. The whole thing is random, very random - why is that?

or you could clean or replace your pillow, it could be causing compression on your ear.
