try deep browns, grays, and pinks, but i think a green/olive color would look gorgeous.
if you want to go brighter you could try a gold/orange color.
just experiment and you'll find something you love eventually!

The most important factor in choosing makeup colors is determining your skin tone. Here's how to determine your skin tone.

Warm skin tone:
1. Look at inner wrist - veins will appear green.
2. Gold jewelry is more flattering than silver jewelry.

Cool skin tone:
1. Look at inner wrist - veins will appear blue.
2. Silver jewelry is more flattering.

You can wear almost any eye shadow color as long as the tone and intensity complement your complexion and are appropriate for the occasion.

A soft champagne w/ a slight shimmer or a soft taupe would be an easy, neutral way to start.

Since you are pale, you may want to avoid extremely dark, deep eye shadows because they can be very harsh looking on pale skin. I'd also avoid grey eyeshadows because the might look washed out and dull against your black hair.

i think you should try some purple eyeshadow and even add some black eyeliner to make your eyes appear bigger. I like to use a smokey dark black eyeliner and a shimmery purple eyeshadow. You can experiment a little and see what works best for you. Try using a light colour for the base of your eyelid then a darker colour for your outer lid. Purple is a guaranteed way to get your eyes to stand out, pink would also look good.

If you have brown eyes you can try any color you want, because brown eyed people like me, can pull off almost anything as long as you apply it correctly...but if you have green or blue try browns, or pinks, nothing too dark though...but I would put a base color on like white on your whole eyelid, then a diff color in the crease, then use eyeshadow for an eyeliner along the top, & using a bright color for the inner eye on the bottom lid looks good, just experiment its fun, & using the correct brushes helps u a lot!!! good luck :)

earth tones, NO PINKS! [unless you know how to do makeup very well]
deep browns, or a shimmery golden color.
Bareminerals has 2 eyeshadows that i LOVE>
[im the same skintone as you] it's sex kitten and desire.
Just go to a department store like Macys or something and ask to get made over and see what works for you.

If I were you I would wear a medium toned navy blue shadow or aqua green shadow. I use to have dark hair aswell and those two colours look really cool :)

I say go with dark greens, but not too much, because you don't want to look like a tree. Maybe add some gold glitter on top.

day time neutrals and pinks
nigh time go for greens, blues and silvers
the tone of the color would depend on your eye color though.
