Probably. Her personality would easily beat Hillary's, who comes across as a b*i*t*c*h to many people. Come to think of it, I have never seen Laura Bush cross or upset, ever!
Another reason is that she is a traditional first lady that works for charities and supports good causes, unlike aggressive first ladies like Hillary Clinton & Nancy Reagan who had a major hand in running their husband's administrations.
While I'm not dissing Hillary or Nancy, that would appeal to a lot of conservative and moderate voters.

No.
I believe that no female candidate for president will perform well this election cycle, no matter what recognition she may have.
If any republican has the name recognition and qualifications, it would be Dr. Condoleezza Rice. But I doubt that Condi would want the position after the last 8 years.

No if that was the choice it would be a landslide win for the 3rd party candidate even if it was a nutjob. The majority of americans dislike BOTH of them. I like one, but she is not electable.

No.
Clinton has already been president for 8 years. Bush has been first lady.
Neither of them is qualified to be president, but given that choice I think Clinton would win (God forbid).

No Mrs.Bush does not have the vicious deceitful back stabbing ability that Hillary does. Mrs. Bush would be a lamb to the slaughter if she got into the political ring with Clinton the she beast. It would be ugly.
