Why are people so quick to call someone ignorant? If someone says something another person disagrees with or that is politcally incorrect, that person is automatically "ignorant."

Try this on for size. Sometimes it may just be you who's "ignorant."

Maybe. Although you might want to consider that the people who have done their research have a right to call someone ignorant, because they haven't checked their facts. In that case, it's true.

Politically incorrect as in..? There's certain boundries you shouldn't cross.

Some people are so deep seated in their beliefs or opinions that they take offense when you challenge their positions. If anything, they think you're ignorant.

For some reason poeple love to use that insult. I think its hilarious, because it really shows they have no arguement against a statement/answer.

They are trying to divert people's attention from their actual ignorance to your "ignorance".
