Was Sanjaya Malakar offered to host an MTV show?

I don't really believe this rumor but if it's true, can anyone please give a reference to the source?

I heard that one of the other networks is playing a part in Sanjaya continuing on in American Idol. First, they want the show to fail (so try to keep on a guy who can't sing), second, ABC is planning a new tv series pilot featuring the Geico Caveman. Rumor has it that they have already struck a deal for Sanjaya to star in the sitcom. I'll be sure to watch...
