at present I have heard that myp2p.eu is streaming sports. I am unsure whether this is illegal, as there is no fee. can anyone clear this up for me?

While it is possible that the content creator fees are covered through advertising cost, I am guessing that the service is illegally streaming content. You might want to check the Terms of Service on the site to see what they offer you. I would look for a phrase that basically says that the company reserves the right to change to a fee based access model. If you see something like that, then you have a pretty good chance of the service being legitimate.
