Ann Coulter has made a lot of people sick with her books and TV appearances. She's toxic, but I don't think she's poisonous enough to cause cancer. Coulter's claim that Edwards was gay probably just made Mrs. Edwards laugh.

I doubt that Coulter's comment had any effect on the Edwards'. They are far above that sort of tripe.
But what I find interesting about those who so vehemently disagree with you is how defensive they are of Coulter. She claims that it wasn't a serious comment--that she was making a joke. So she wasn't expressing an opinion to be defended as some here are implying. She was making a joke. And what no one has done so far, from any political perspective, is explain what the joke was. Apparently she just thinks it's funny to say "f******" out loud, just like the school kids she said she was emulating. How humorous of her. No wonder her brand of politics is losing its grip on the American voter.

No. But waking up next to, and living with her husband might have? When you are a Senator's wife, there comes a certain baggage with the job. Cancer is traced to nutrition, heredity, genetic disposition, immune system strength. Everyone has cancer cells in their body. Just some people have more than others and this is a problem.
To take a cheap shot at the opposing party doesn't speak very well of the person clamoring about justices, does it?
If stress caused cancer, every hard 9-to-5'er would be sick! This is the sort of narrow minded perspective that destroys America. God help us.

If Coulter really contributed to Elizabeth Edwards' medical condition then John Edwards should reconsider running for president. If he were elected he would have to deal with situations A LOT more stressful than that!!!!

This is a joke right? I hate to be as nasty as you, but if this is true, how about this, did John and Elizabeths Edwards' comments about Cheney's daughter complicate his heart problem? Asinine huh???? Those nasty Edwards!!!!! Ann Coulter had nothing to do with Elizabeth Edwards' medical condition, she has cancer.

I doubt that cold hearted Coulter had anything to do with Elizabeth Edward's medical problems. I am sure Ms. Edwards is aware of Cold Cold Colter but doesn't pay her any mind knowing what a Bi*ch she is.

In some way, I have to say that all the negative reactionary diatribe from all sources are partially responsible for the stress she had to cope with.
It is hard to quantify a correlation that one loud mouth's bad judgement contributed to the well being of another. But it could not have been more poorly timed. And it most likely didn't help matters one bit.

I love dallas's answer...
Um, where does it end? Someone said soemthing I don't agree with and found repulsive, therefore my medical problems are their fault?
Come on, this is the most ridiculous attack on free speech I've ever heard. You can't be serious.

I don't think Coultergeist had anything to do with it. Few people take media-whoring transsexuals who look like ostriches with blond wigs seriously.
