They are not necessarily hard to get, but you have to know HOW to look for opportunities and having good contacts never hurts.

Because there are 1,000,000 lawyers out there looking for jobs. I work in a law firm and they are very particular of what kind of lawyers they hire. They want lawyers who attended very prestigious law schools and they also have to have very high grades and excellent writing/research skills.
