She is about 1o pounds and semi long hair. I have tried everything and nothing seems to work! She has a tendency to get severly infested. I have taken her to the vet and even what he gave me does'nt work. I was wondering if anybody had a secret, miracle cure. Please help!

Frontline or k9 advantix (from your vet).

The vets have a shot or pill (we've had both for rescued kittens) that will kill all the fleas she has, then use frontline or k9advantix to keep them off. These only work by poisoning the fleas that bite her, so if your home is infested, then you may need to spring for carpet treatments!

We breed Papillons and Maltese, and will occasionally get overrun with fleas (usually when a rescued kitten comes in) but a dose of frontline has that beat within a day. This is, of course, after a flea bath for all our babies.

if you have used frontline there is no way it didn't work. Did you bomb your house after you flea treated her and did you bath her compleately first. Did they tell you when you use a flea product you do the rear end first and then around the ears as flee's will crawl into any hole to get away from the soap or flee product. If she is 10 lbs be careful not to over flee her. If she has eggs on her and you used a cheap flee product then it wore off before the eggs hatched. frontline kills ticks and flee's and flee eggs. so the eggs would not hatch. Flee's are stubborn and can keep coming back. you have to take drastic measure's and bomb the house and wash all bedding. The same as if you have lice. I see one flee here and everything gets washed bedding dogs, stuffed animals. We have no carpets except throw and they get washed too. so if you have wall to wall they are hiding in the carpet. and after all that then the dogs. If you really have done all this you should take the dog to the vet and make sure they are flee's and not something like bedbugs or something. Allso cover your lawn in lyme and keep dogs off it for 24 hours. sprinkle rock salt around the perimiter of your lawn. These are all drastic measures. I take flee's seriously

It sounds like the area where you have your dog is infested with fleas and flea eggs.

Have your dog dipped and boarded for the day, then buy Frontline or Revolution to continue repelling the fleas.

Meanwhile, while your dog is boarded, wash his bedding. And while you're doing that, sprinkle your carpet and soft furniture with borax and let it sit about 20 minutes. Then vacuum it up, and make sure to move the furniture. Keep vacuuming every day for at least 2 weeks:That's about how long it takes a newly-hatched flea to reach egg-laying age.

Get a professional to treat your yard and under your house.

You shouldn't have flea problems after that.

Good luck!

Advantix or Frontline work.If your dog is getting that many flea's then maybe you need to treat your yard and house.I have 4 house dogs and 3 cats I do not have a problem with Fleas...I have had all these animals since they were at least 6 weeks old. Now they are 7,6,4,4, cats are 11,8,4 so the flea stuff works, you just have to be consistent with it.

Advantage is the only thing I've ever found that works.
You may also want to try "flea bombing" your house (but remove all pets and people first!!!) or getting a carpet spray to cut down on the fleas in the animal's environment.

Fleas are a major pest. There are various species of fleas - cat fleas, dog fleas, rat fleas and rabbit fleas.
You can get rid of them by the safest and cheapest methods like boric acid.

here you got all
If you have rugs at home you have to fumigate them without the dog at home and then bath the dog and put the collar, then bring back the dog. That is the only way, better fumigate all the house if you have rugs and also the couch etc
