I just bought a Motorola L6 online...but I have a cingular service. The phone is only tri-band and I need to upload some programs to allow it to become quadband...Has anyone done this before? It is called "seem editing". It seems like it will be easy. I need to know so I can send it back before my 30 day guarantee is up. Thanks!

You can't make a tri-band phone a quad-band phone by doing seem edits. It's in the hardware, not software. The hardware has to be able to support all four bands.
