It all depends on what kind of insurance you have. You might only have to pay for your first visit and that is all. With my insurance I only pay for the first one and that is it. I have Cigna health insurace. And when i had my son i had Kaiser and i only paid that one time and nothing after that.

I used to work in an OB office we billed globally, which means we sent the insurance one bill for all the visits. So we took a co-pay the first time and that was it. So ask the person at the desk if they know if they charge the insurance separately for each visit or if the bill globally.

not mine, I paid $25 on the first visit and nothing after that.
When I had the baby I was sent a bill from the hospital for $300.00 this was the hospitals co-pay- the portion not covered by insurance.
But it depends on your company and what insurance they have, ask your doctors office to check for you, mine did for me.

Not necessarily- I have Blue Cross Blue Shield insurance and there is no Co-Pay for prenatal/maternity visits.
Check with your insurance carrier for more information.

Depends on the insurance. I've never payed a co-pay. I have TRICARE PRIME from the military. They pretty much pay for everything.

It depends on your policy. With mine, I only had to pay one co-pay for all of my prenatal care. There was a separate bill for the delivery and hospital stay.

I think it depends on your insurance, but I don't.
I paid my 1st visit & then I went to the hospital 2 times & had to pay then...also I got an extra blood test done for an early screening...had to pay for that.

I was on Medicaid because I missed the insurance sign up at my work. I became elgible in August 05 but by baby was born in August 05. I didnt have to pay anything on Medicaid. I heard that my husband (who also wasnt eligible for insurance at his work at the time either) would have to pay them back but my baby is 19 months old now and he hasn't had to pay anything either.

Call your insurance provider. I didn't have to. I just paid the first one, and then $300 for the admission to the hospital to have her. Hopefully you won't have to, because that will rack up in no time!

It depends on your insurance coverage. If you're unsure, call your insurance company and ask them. I pay my co-pay for all my prenatal visits.
