I have a 7gb file that i need to make smaller so i can transfer it onto my flashdrive (3bg) so how can i make my file smaller?
detailed instructions if possible

winrar is a very good compression tool but im not sure if it will compress that much, also depends what you are compressing, text files compress very well but pictures and video arent nearly as good at compressing

Try compressing it. There are many ways of compressing it. One is by using Power Archiver. Right click on the file and click on Compress to ....
However, I'm not sure if it can compress it to 3GB.

what type of file is it? compression rates are different (ie text files can be compressed more than video)
