I am half Italian and have DARK hair and eyes with very light skin. The problem is that my skin has olive undertones, so most foundations are either too pinky, too chalky too grey or too dark. I currently use Estee Lauder's Futurist foundation in the color "desert beige". It is a good match, but I really would like to find something less expensive. Does anyone have any suggestions for me? My skin is combination type (T-zone), though I would say more on the dry side - I only get blemishes on occasion. Thanks so much!

if u want to try mineral makeup, i just ordered a sample kit from www.everydayminerals.com. u can pick out 3 different shades, a blush, and a concealer, and only pay for shipping. i paid $3.67 and should be receiving it soon....

good luck. also u can check out www.makeupalley.com for reviews from regular people, u try out a product and write if u like it and rate if u would repurchase, they tally it up, it's pretty helpful.

Try using your Estee Lauder but mix in some moisturizer...you'll be using the same color but less of it. And you will be able to use straight foundation under your eyes for the darkness without looking funny.

I would deff. recommend a mineral based foundation like what Loreal is carrying it comes in a loose powder with a powder brush to buff on your face. Mineral wear is also very good for your face b/c it rejuvenates and keeps your skin looking clear and healthy, also it gives off the bare effect so it doesn't look like your wearing caked on make up. They come in all shades for all skin tones. I would also try bare minerals which you can find at sephora. The set which comes with brushes, three different powders and blush for $60.00.

I have the same skin as you. AndI have to say, the only drugstore foundation I like is Lumine. Tehy have shades for olive toned skin. For a more high end brand,I use and like Clinique.

I am completely sold to Revlon ColorStay Foundation. I have alot of yellow tint to my skin. If you go to Walmart, it's pretty cheap and they make a huge range of colors. My days are seriously long and the foundation stays put through anything. LOVE LOVE LOVE it!!! Good luck to you.

I love Revlon Color Stay for combination skin. Actually, my dermotologist recommended it and I've fallen in love with the product. A lot of drug stores now have make up counters (they do in Los Angeles, anyway), so you can ask them to sample stuff and give you their opinion.
