Large amount of paranormal activity?

I have seen on t.v. that hauntings or paranormal activity are associated with places where a tragedy has occured. I have seen many shows and was wondering--if these expereinces happen at a place of tragedy, has anyone done any so called "ghost hunting" at the sights of Nazi concentration camps? ( not being morbid, just curious)

Ok...I really hesitate to answer this but..
Not all paranormal activity happens at sites of tragedy. It is not just the site, but also the person entering it. I am really going to get hit on this answer as most are curious to ask but seldom believe. As far as Nazi concentration camps..I do not know, yet I could speculate as to the fact that who would actually document that? And that in the world of paranormal ALL those in pain would have left together. I am assuming you you are genuine in your question. I guess to explain by my reasoning....two different people can go into a place with the same camera yet at different times. If the activity is "acceptable" one person more to one than the other the camera will probably pick it up. I know I should not answer this as people have polar opposite beliefs on this subject. Alda has some good points.

However, most hauntings are the result of the people who frequent there providing energy to the phenomenon. The dead go on to hopefully better things. What appears to be ghosts tends to be other things, some better or worse than other possibilities.

The general agreement among residents of Gettysburg that I have conversed with is that most of the hauntings books and tours are deliberately made up by the folks making money. We have *never* seen anything there.
